Thank you to the Society for this invitation and to the exhibitors attending what must be the first mainly indoor general championship show.
My two stewards were brilliant and neither had stewarded at this level previously, so well done ladies.
I was pleased with the overall health and condition of the dogs and had no cause for concern regarding Fit For Function Breed Watch. A couple would benefit from having their teeth cleaned.

JD (1) 1. Harris’ Amikirs Lover Boy For Watchkees. A very smart lad, ex for size and balance. Small erect ears held at 5 to 1. Ex bite. Dark eyes with specs. Neat cat feet on well boned legs. Black tip to high set tail, carried well. He moved steadily with parallel hocks and a clean action.

PGD (5) 1. Brunt’s Divnyi Drug Dar (Imp Rus). Really liked his balance and outline. In ex coat & well presented. Scissor bite, clean eyes, ex plume. Moved briskly with precision to perform his movement patterns. 2. Church’s Shelderon Stemmig Sage With Tykees. Another well balanced dog with ex topline. Dark eye rims and lips. Neatest of feet & sure footed in movement. Can imagine him turning on a sixpence on the barge deck. 3. Wilkin’s Whizzkees Quicksilver
LD (5,1a) 1. Harris’ Kichigai Boy Is Back In Town For Watchkees JW. Squarely built lad. Ex stop & head proportions. Dark muzzle, lips and eyes. Loved his layback of shoulder, return of upper arm and elbows close to ribs. Ex ribbing. Compact body with good depth of brisket. He moves well, with good width in front and in rear, standing with parallel hocks. Nothing overdone. RCC. 2. Rose’s Rossvale Endeavour to Esorkees. Nice boy for size and another with compact proportions & good outline. Ivy shaped ears. Good neck ruff. Sadly not settled on the move today, pulling against the handler & moving a little wide in front. 3. Marshall’s Arabesque at Devonia (Imp Rus)
OD (7,3a) 1. Lindsay’s Mezanda Merry Starshower. Well constructed 5 year old confident & masculine boy with cat feet & cream undercoat. Nice head proportions & stop with clear facial markings. Moved straight and true with strong hocks, using himself to full capability, which secured him the class. Tail held well over back. 2. Hickson’s Ch Kichigai’s Only The Lonley. Loved his size. Alert & attentive to his handler. Ex neck ruff. Specs present. Greying a little around his muzzle giving him the most charming distinguished look. 3. Miles & Dean’s Ch Neradmik Kiss Chase with Lekkerbek
VD (4,1a) 1. Rogers’ Aust Supreme Ch Can Grand Am Int Ch Keez Kause For Koncern (Imp Can). As he entered the ring he commanded it immediately with his presence. I was completely blown away by this eleven year‘s young boy, from his clean teeth and scissor bite to his tail twist with black tip. Well coated but not overdone, immaculate presentation. In exemplary condition for any age and showing the youngsters a clean pair of hocks as he moves in a spritely manner with purposeful footfall. A showman through and through. CC, BOB, BVIB. 2. Miles & Cullen & Brow’s Ch Rossvale’s Legacy for Lekkerbek. A worthy champion with everything to like. Attractive headpiece. Well boned and well ribbed. Ex outline. Moved with precision. 3. Rose’s Ch Rossvale Master of Destiny for Esorkees

SBB (1,1a)
MPB (4) 1. Lindsay’s Watermyth Cassiopeia by Mezanda. A clear class winner today. So nice to go over. She moves so steadily, with sympathetic handling which gets the best out of her. Pretty head with ex depth of muzzle & dark eyes. Forelegs well under body, & ex deportment. BPIB. 2. Lush’s Dianakees Carolina Moon. Just 6 months & taking in everything around her, as to be expected with a new experience. Loved her shape. Coat coming along nicely. Double curl to tail, with black tip. Should have a very bright future. 3. Matthews & Lee’s Winklestar Aurora at Valindale

JB (2) 1. Gregory’s Amikirs Lovealicious. A stunning youngster just over 12 months of age. Moderate angulation fore & aft. Feminine all through. Ivy leaf shaped ears with velvet feel. Well marked spectacles. Straight forelegs with medium width between them. Sure footed in movement and Fit for Purpose. RCC. 2. Church’s Tykees It’s Just A Phase. Overall a nice youngster. Well boned for her size. Well placed dark eyes. Attractive plume. Just not so keen on the lift in her front movement.
YB (1) 1. Marshall’s Devonia Black Pearl. I like this top quality girl very much. She has lots to offer. Straight forelegs. Correct width all through her body and hindquarters, with strong rear pasterns correctly placed. Coat texture correct with well defined markings.
PGB (3,1a) 1. Brunt‘s Almaznyi Istochnik Tropicheskaya Noch (Imp Rus). She moved the steadier of the 2 but was moving a little close behind. Coat is coming. 50/50 head proportions with nice depth of muzzle. Good width in front and well bodied. 2. Hill & Wilkin’s Whizzkees Silver Spirit. Pleasing type. Slimmer than 1st under the coat and a little longer cast. Abundant coat, though still not overdone. Well set eyes and ears. Movement was satisfactory but would benefit from being more fluid.
LB (5,2a) 1. Peck’s Byquy Starmaker. Not quite 2 years old this girl shows great promise. I liked her front assembly – she has excellent shoulder placement and she is well bodied up. Ex scissor bite. She is well coated with a dense ruff. She uses her ears constantly showing alertness. Ex curl to tail which is held close to her back. Would like to see her moving more freely on a loose lead. 2. McKean’s Kichigai It Takes Two. Petite, ultra feminine girl. Loved her really square balance. Expressive eyes and black lips. 3. Wilkin’s Whizzkees Ebony Slipper
OB (5,1a) Abs: 1. Sharp-Bale’s Ch Neradmik Berry’s Swansong. A real beauty, a confident girl, standing proudly. Full of charisma. She has the darkest of eyes with black rims. Ex scissor bite. Presented in quality coat with dense ruff, well placed plume and neat trousers. A pleasure to get hands on her. Although I would have loved to see her gaiting at a more consistent pace, it was obvious that the handler was experiencing difficulty with this, rather than the dog. A worthy CC winner today. 2. Rogers’ Can Grand & Am Cedarhills Shamrock Foreign Exchange at Keez(Can Imp). Slightly taller than 1st. Presented in ex coat & body condition. Loved her overall head proportions and expression, though eyes could be a little darker. Great tail carriage. Carrying the right amount of weight and in hard muscular condition which followed through in her movement. 3. McKean’s Kichigai This Girl Is Mine At Yawren
VB (1) 1. Brunt’s Eng Ch Vanstrand Quantum of Solace. Just short of 9 years. Straight forelegs with good round bone for her size. Well balanced overall with ex outline. Wedge shaped head & correct definite stop and dark eyes. Holds her topline at all times. Carried herself well around the ring.
