My thanks to the Officers and Committee of Blackpool Ch Show for the invitation and the exhibitors for entering their dogs. Blackpool was very sunny, fortunately a 9am start and good breeze meant the dogs were fine, stewards however were often picking up ring cards and papers, because of the breeze. With this snapshot entry, I think the breed is improving in area’s. I did not find any overweight dogs, eyes generally were dark and without the tendency to slightly round and prominent that was appearing a few years ago. However it seems we are losing substance from males, coats come and go, today some lost places as not in full bloom and would have done better with more coat, also some would benefit from road work as down on muscle tone. It is a very difficult balancing act for breeders and as yet no one has bred that perfect Keeshond. I love a nice head with correct proportions and expression, I do look for animation, hopefully you will agree that I went over all dogs thoroughly, and balanced all of the various strengths of the exhibits.

VD/B 1 (0) Gate’s LACETROM CRUIVIE SHCM, An almost 10 year old that is a credit to the breed and owners, this is a well cared for, well exercised lady. Although soft today following last night’s bath a super coat of good colour and definition, correct outline and proportions, pleasing feminine head good reach of neck, true brisk movement, she more than holds her own with much younger dogs.
PD 3 (0) 1, BP, Rose’s ROSSVALE ENDEAVOUR TO ESKORKEES. What a little cracker, pleasure to go over this 9mt old boy, he is developing well and is surprisingly mature for his age. Well shown and presented, on his toes with plenty of spirit. Good harsh coat and definition, dark almond eye pleasing masculine head with good muzzle proportions. 2, Peck’s KWAJONGEN HE’S A DANDY BYQUY. Another little cracker, not as mature as 1, more of a puppy, but with lots to like, Good level topline and reach of neck, correct square outline, excellent presentation and handling , hope he matures to rival his father. 3, McCoy’s ROSSVALE HIDDEN AGENDA
JD 3 (0) 1,RCC, Bardsley’s CH SKATHKI JUST GOT WICKED. I’m not surprised this boy is a Ch already A quality compact well-proportioned dog with harsh coat of lovely colour, nice dark eye with good ear placement, well bodied, well-constructed moved true fore and aft, handler gets the best from him. 2, Brunt’s ZANDVOORT UP AN PURRSONAL (AI). Good coat, well balanced with high set tail and good neck giving correct overall shape, not quite as well defined in colour. Moved cleanly. 3, Murray’s FLATMEER FLIGHTBERRY
PGD 2 (1) 1, Potts’s SHELDERON SPOOKSEL STERREN. Good wedge and head proportions, well set on ears, would prefer a darker eye, nice tail set and level topline, moved well.
LD
2 (0) 1, Brunt’s ZANDVOORT MR BOND. While going over him my first impression was he was too quiet and laid back for a boy kees, but he is just well behaved and trained, Loved his head, ear size & placement, good colour, high set tail, highlighting his square proportions, brisk and sound on the move. 2, Fusco’s AMIKIRS LORD OF THE BUBBLES A quality dog that I’m sure will often change places with 1, Harsh coat well defined, in full bloom, good construction, moderate neck
OD 5 (1) 1, CC&BOB Hickson’s KICHIGAI’S ONLY THE LONLEY. Well balanced handsome dog, harsh coat with good definition, lovely head and eyes, good spring of rib and depth of chest. Light tight cat feet. Last time I judged him his movement was erratic, today it was sound, with plenty of drive keeping his handler on her toes. With animation and sparkle, that shouts look at me. Pleased to give him a well-deserved 3rd CC. 2, Rose’s CH ROSSVALE MASTER OF DESTINY FOR ESORKEES. A favourite of mine, he is a fine example of keesy male. Excellent breed type, with good proportions of head and body, masculine without being coarse. Nice harsh coat and colour, not the sparkle today of 1. 3, Miles’s CH NERADMIK KISS CHASE WITH LEKKERBEK 4, Miles’s CH ROSSVALE’S LEGACY FOR LEKKERBEK

PB 2 (0) 1, Hickson’s KICHIGAI’S UPTOWN GIRL. I did a double take as I thought these two were twins not litter sisters. They are like peas in a pod. In fluffy puppy coat, with a super outline 7 mths Very feminine, lovely shape, nice bite, dark appealing eyes, well balanced overall, typical puppy movement that I’m sure will tighten with maturity. 2, McKean’s KICHIGAI IT TAKES TWO. All comments as above, just preferred reach of neck on 1.
JB 3 (1) 1, Gregory’s AMIKIRS DOUBLY DELICIOUS (AI). Good sized girl with nice colour, a little short of coat at the moment, well set tail carried nice and tight, good cat feet. Spirited on the move. 2, Brunt’s ALMAZNIY ISTOCHNIK VOLOGODSKIE KRUZHEVA. Tidy bitch, quality in a smaller package, dark eyes neat ears with high set tail, giving good outline, would prefer colour a little clearer, may come with coat change.

LB 2 (0) 1, BCC, Gate’s LACETROM SHUNA SHCM. What a quality girl, Head with all correct proportions, dark appealing eye, lovely well defined spectacles giving sweet feminine expression level topline high set tail, harsh coat with good definition, giving a super outline. Moved well at the correct speed to show off lovely brisk movement, short of nothing with nothing overdone. Well-handled and presented. Truly on form today. Pleased to give her that important 3rd CC, not surprised has recently won others. 2, Matthews’s SZARYK APHRODITE AT VALINDALE. Even though very short of coat today, a real quality girl, good colour and definition, good head and muzzle proportions, soundly constructed throughout. Moved well.
OB 5 (0) 1, RCC Wilson’s GALLOWTREE TASSEL. Good sound girl with nice head well set on ears. Compact overall, harsh coat with good definition. Tight cat feet, good construction and angulation. 2, White’s CH NERADMIK DEAR DARLING OF WHITCHAKEES. Lovely overall shape, super coat in good harsh condition, short back with high tailset helping the picture. Moved well coming and going. 3, Palmer’s SHELDERON SUPER STELLER 4, McKean’s KICHIGAI THIS GIRL IS MINE AT YAWREN
