I would like to thank the Crufts committee for inviting me to judge our wonderful breed. It was a real pleasure and honour. Also my two hard working stewards Doug and Sue who kept the ring running so smoothly. And of course thank you to all of the exhibitors for entering your beautiful dogs under me. There was some real quality in there that made some of the decisions very difficult and some dogs could change places on another day. Movement as always was a cause for concern. I also had a lot of dogs that were too long in back so not giving the correct silhouette in profile. Temperaments were excellent with a lot of the exhibits really enjoying their day which was good to see.
Vet D(5,2) 1. Quicray’s Int Ch Dolce Vita Dyck Of Bloom White – 10 year old handsome boy in really good condition. He has a well balanced body with correct neck and good length of leg. Good bone and tight feet, high set tail. His coat is harsh and with lovely depth of colour and markings. He moved briskly around the ring and is beautifully handled. Best Veteran. 2. Brunt’s Ch Zandvoort Dream Machine – This 11 year old boy was enjoying his day out. Like his head and expression, has dark eyes and well set ears. Has a short back and is good in shoulder and high set tail. Well boned and tight feet. Not moving as well as the winner. 3. Wilkes Helkeesen Surfin At Dakaraikees – 9 year old who has the most beautiful colour to his coat. He is a smaller boy and would like a little more leg for balance but has a short back and high set, well plumed tail carried well. Masculine head with dark eye but ears just a little wide set. He has good bone for size and went well around the ring.
PD (1) 1. Pattisons Serenaubach Full of Wonder – Just 10 months old and developing well. I liked his head and expression, eyes are dark and almond shaped and ears are well set. He has a compact body with good shoulder, short back and deep chest. His tail is well set and he carries it well. Has good bone but pasterns could be stronger. In big puppy coat which is a rich colour and has lovely markings. Moved well for a puppy but needs to tighten up all round but has plenty of time. Best Puppy.
JD (6) 1. Bardsleys Skathki Just Got Wicked – 13 month old in beautiful condition. Presents a compact shape with a good deep chest, short back, high set tail and enough neck. Has enough bone, tight feet and correct length of leg. Pleasing head and expression. Beautifully presented, still has his big puppy coat which is a rich clear colour. Moved well. 2. Bardsley and Bakers Skathki King Of The Forest – Litter brother to 1. Very similar with lovely head and expression and dark eye He is slightly longer in body and not quite the neck of 1 but has a high set tail and good shoulder. Another with good colour and markings to his well presented coat. 3. Jokelas Eerondaali In Flames – Really nice solid boy. Liked his head very much – well balanced with a lovely expression. Has a short back, good shoulder and high set tail but would like a little more neck for balance. Has good length of leg and good tight feet. Just coming into his adult coat but has good colour and markings. Moved soundly both ways.
PGD (9) I found this a very difficult class to judge. 1. Aylott and Bells Allforus Heart Throb. Well grown substantial boy. He has a short back, lovely depth of chest and good bone with a well arched neck. Masculine head with dark eye. Harsh coat but would like better depth of colour and markings. Went well on the move. 2. Jokelas Eerondaali In Flames Again – 3rd in Junior dog. 3. Hudsons Shelderon Sacred Shadow – Lovely solid boy who has good bone and a well set tail.. Really like his head and gentle expression, well balanced with dark eye and correct ears. He is a good colour with enough coat. Would like more leg length and neck to complete the picture and a little loose in front movement.
LD (10,1) 1. Christophers Neradmik Canache at Bisukees – Upstanding dog who has a compact body, lovely length of neck and a high set tail. Shoulders are good and he has really good bone and catlike feet. His ears are small, a good shape and well set but would like a slightly darker eye. Carries a profuse coat which is a clear colour and well marked. Went well for his handler. 2. Janssens Quazars Brilliant Light Van Het Earlkamp – Good size boy who is nicely made, good shoulder, deep chest and well set tail. Could use a little more neck for balance. Has good bone and is well muscled. Head is well balanced in shape and dark eye but would like slightly smaller ears. Lovely depth of colour in his coat which is a harsh texture and beautifully presented. 3. Lindsays Mezanda Merry Starshower – Another of good colour. Not in such good coat as winners but enough. Has good bone and feet, deep chest and well set tail. Would like him more compact in body but has good length of leg. Wedge shaped head with good length of muzzle and dark almond shaped eyes. Not moving as well as the winners.
OD (13,2) This was my class of the day. Really wished I had more places as there were some beautiful dogs. 1. Aguirres Ch Iron Man Del Monte Dragnone – Wow, this dog caught my eye from the moment he stepped into the ring. He has the most attractive well balanced head and expression, small well placed ears, dark eyes. His neck is strong and leads down to well placed shoulders, a compact body with a deep chest, high set well plumed tail which he carries so well. He has good bone and his feet are tight. It is all finished off with the most beautiful profuse coat which has good colour and markings. Loved his exuberant, happy personality which came out when he moved which was sound both ways and I did’nt mind the occasional bounce as he showed me more than enough. Glad to award him the CC and BOB and was thrilled to see him win Group 4 with a great performance. Well done. 2. Gemmis Floro Flores -Different type to 1 but so much to like. Lovely head which was masculine but has a gentle expression, and balanced muzzle to skull ratio. He has small well set ears although would have liked a darker eye. Beautiful bone and substance and deep chest. Short back and enough neck. His tail is well set and with a good plume, just needs to carry it tighter on the move. Shown in really good coat, rich depth of colour and clear markings. Moved briskly around the ring. RCC. 3. Hankelas Int Ch Eerondaali Braveheart – Another lovely boy that is so well made. Short back and good length of leg finished with a lovely arched neck. He has a well set tail which he carries well over his back, good sturdy bone and tight feet. His head is well balanced with dark eye and well set ears but would like his muzzle to be darker. Just coming back into coat but what he had was a good texture and had good colour and markings. Such a sound dog on the move and beautifully handled. A very worthy champion.
Vet B (3,1) 1. Gates Lacetrom Cruivie SHCM – Good size 9 year old girl who carries a profuse coat of good colour and texture. Pretty head with dark almond eyes and correct ears. She has a well ribbed body, enough neck and a high set tail. Good bone and she moved well. 2. Divers Ir Ch Kichigai Rare Edition At Murmansk – Smaller very pretty girl who is also 9 years old. Lovely short back but would like more leg under her for balance. Like her head, small well set ears and dark eye. Carries her well plumed tail over her back. Good feet and bone for size. She has a good coat of lovely colour. Not moving as well in front as 1.
PB (4,1) 1.Bells Foxifayre Keep The Faith With Allforus – Nice size 10 month old with lots to like. She carries a good coat that is a lovely clear colour with good markings. Good shoulders, really nicely arched neck and good chest and body for age. Her tail is well set but a little loose. She has a pretty head which is well balanced, dark almond eyes, correct shaped and set ears although would like them a little smaller. Just needs to tighten up in movement but has time on her side. 2. Hopkins Serenaubach Annisgwyl – Another pretty 10 month old. Liked her head, dark well shaped eyes and correct ears. Well marked harsh coat., well muscled body, good angulation but not as much neck as 1. Has a high set tail which she carries well. Would like a little more bone and her feet could be tighter. She moved briskly around the ring but again needs to tighten up. 3. Gregorys Amikirs Doubly Delicious (AI) – Sturdy 11 month old that has lovely bone and substance. Well marked coat and a high set tail which she carries well. Has a dark eye but a little bold and preferred the expressions of the other 2 exhibits. Could be more positive on the move.
JB (3,2) 1. Lindsays Cosmic Dream’s Damn You Look Good For Mezanda (Imp Nor) – Pretty girl with a feminine expression, dark eyes and well set ears. In good coat which has a clear colour and good markings. Angulation is good and has a short back and enough neck. Her tail is well set but very profuse which detracts from her outline. Good bone but front feet could be tighter. Would’nt settle on the move in the challenge.
PGB (13,3) 1. Poschungs Jen’ndi Schamayra’s Western Girl – This girl was really enjoying herself and had a great personality. I thought she had a very pretty head and expression with dark eyes and small ivy shaped ears. Solid body with good shoulders, well ribbed chest and a short back and good bone. Her tail is well set, just lacking in plume at the moment. Has enough coat and clear markings. Was really sound on the move both ways. 2. Newmans Leazehond Prairie Flower – Nice size girl, not putting everything into her performance today but when she did she is a good mover. Carries a profuse, well marked coat, good neck and shoulders and has a high set tail. Stands a little longer in body than 1. Very pretty head and expression. Has good feet and bone. 3. Saunders Leifkees Adina – Another girl of good size, has enough coat of a harsh texture and has good depth of colour. Correct shoulders and angulation. Could be a little shorter in back but has a high set tail carried well. She has really strong pasterns and tight feet and she moved soundly. Would like smaller ears.
LB (8,1) 1. Newmans Wolfswinkle Maria Ogren at Leazehond (AI)- Really liked this girls head and expression, with small well set ears and dark eyes. She has a good reach of neck, deep chest, solid body with good muscle and a really high set tail which she carries well. Could be slighter shorter in back. She is in good coat and moved soundly. 2. Poschungs Jen’ndi Schamayra’s Western Girl – As 1st in Post Graduate. 3. Lindsays Mezanda Melys Sparkles(AI) – Good bone and feet, has a harsh coat although colour could be clearer. Deep chest and high set tail and shown in good condition. Feminine head with correct ears and foxy expression. Not moving as well as the winners.
OB (13.2) 1. Whites Ch Neradmik Vanilla Ice at Morvania – This is a bitch I have admired for a long time from the ringside and she did’nt disappoint. She is so feminine with a beautiful foxy expression, small ivy shaped ears, lovely dark eye. She presents a compact outline with a well arched neck, short back, good shoulders, deep chest and a high set tail which she carries well. Has good bone and feet and she moved soundly. She has the correct amount of harsh coat which is a rich, dark colour with correct markings. Was so pleased to award her the CC, her 4th. 2. Hopkins Int Ch Osiris Shining Bright Van Het Earlskamp – very compact girl who has a well arched neck, good angulation , strong pasterns and tight feet. Lovely harsh coat although not the depth of colour of 1. Pretty well balanced head with correct eye but would prefer smaller ears. High set tail which she carries well. Moved briskly and very well presented. Res CC 3. Poschungs Jen’ndi Schamayra’s Western Girl – Unlucky to meet winners. A lovely trio of bitches.
Good Citizen dog Scheme (1) 1.Kerrs Caraspitz Good Luck Charm – Feminine girl in good coat. Has really good bone and substance. Deep chest and high set tail. Her colour could be clearer but she has good markings. Would like her a little shorter in body for balance. Moved well around the ring.
