Special awards classes
I’d like to thank the committee for their kind invitation to judge the Keeshond special awards classes at their open show, thank you to my two efficient stewards Sue & Karen for keeping things running smoothly. Thank you to the exhibitors for the pleasure of judging your dogs. A small but quality entry.
Class A Special Yearling D/B 4 (2abs) 1st R. Tew R, Torrikees Purple Rein, lovely 2 yr old dog who has lovely breed type, has very pleasing head proportions, well set ears which he used well. Has a strong neck and large ruff. A firm top line, with a well set & carried tail. Balanced angulations, moved out with lovely brisk movement to secure his win. 2nd Mrs L Axford & Mr S Sherwood, Watermyth Calypso much to like about this youngster, just out of puppy, a lovely feminine head with a typical foxy expression, with small neat ears well set on. Lovely dark eyes obliquely set, with the well defined spectacles typical of the breed. Good for size and shape, with a good tail set and carriage. In Lovely coat of good quality. Was a little un co-operative for her handler today. I just preferred the movement of first today.
Class B Special Limit D/B 2 (1abs) 1st Mrs V Tew Art Pride Bomb Explosive Beauty (Imp Rus) a feminine head on this 2 yr bitch, who is well proportioned, compact and square. Has an attractive head and expression, with good ear set. A good top line which she held on the move, moved out with a light brisk action. Good angulations’ front and rear
Class C Special Open D/B 5 (1abs) 1st J Miles & S Dean Ch Neradmik Kiss Chase with Lekkerbek A mature dog with a lovely masculine head, complete scissor bite, with lovely almond shaped eyes obliquely set. Long arched neck has large ruff, good shoulders with a straight front, short in body with a well sprung rib, with a good depth of brisket. With lovely breed qualities all through. Movement was the best today, movement was brisk and free, a real showman who showed himself off. 2nd Mr G R & Mrs S Rose, Rossvale Endeavour to Esorkees, a typical head and expression on this mature dog, a little on the short side, with a correct stop and ear set. A little more neck would be preferred. He has an excellent top line, good tail set and carriage. With moderate angulations, he moved out well. A good quality coat completed the picture.3rd Mrs B Henman & Miss D Collins Allforus Tangfastic Foxifayre feminine head on this mature bitch, dark expressive eyes, with the desired fox like expression, ears small and velvety, good scissor bite, in good coat, movement not as positive played handler up today. 4th Mrs L Axford & Mr S Sherwood, Lilli Marlina of Watermyth
