My apologies for this late report, the day after l was taken to hospital and kept for nearly a week, and recovery has been a little slow! It is a while since l last judged Keeshonds and thank you for your lovely entry. I have to say the last time l judged them they were much more uniform in type and size. Front angulation l did struggle with many and it just spoils the whole outline for me. Of course as we have come to expect temperaments were excellent as were coat textures and presentation. My thanks to my excellent stewards who worked the whole day without a break, it was much appreciated.
PD (3) 1 Down’s Liefkees Assisi. Very masculine young lad, really nice in head and expression, nice small thick ears. Correct in neck and shoulder, good topline, firm loin, to be critical would just like him a little more compact. For me he was the soundest in this class. Excellent presentation and nicely handled. 2 Hopkins Serenaubach Draco. Little smaller in type to 1 but still ok for size. I also like his well balanced head, nice shaped eye and giving true expression. Not the neck and shoulder of 1. Her was in full coat and of a good texture. 3 Rose’s Dianakeees Inspector Morse at Esorkees
JD (2,1) 1 Ring’s Neradmik Shine on Harvey Moon. Alone but a very smart young lad. I liked his overall balance. Typical in head and expression, nice dark eye, nice markings, small thick ears which he uses the whole time. He was in super coat and body condition and looked the part moving in profile. Should have a good future.
PGD (1) 1 Gardner’s Keitakees Small Town Boy with Manzanakees. Nice young dog and there is a lot to like about him. Very nice to go over. Right amount of neck leading to good shoulders and nice topline which is short and compact. On the day he moved in typical brisk manner and looked the part but not quite as positive in front
LD (1) 1 Marshall’s Arabesque at Devonia (Imp Rus). Very smart dog standing and presents a nice picture. He was in good coat and colour. Ok in neck and shoulder. His topline was good and firm in loin. He is sound coming and going. His head is nicely balance with a nice dark eye but maybe his ears could be a touch smaller.
OD (9,3) This was not an easy class to judge as they varied so much in neck and shoulders and also front movement. 1 Miles & Dean Ch Neradmik Kiss Chase with Lekkerbek – CC. A very masculine dog and in full bloom and really looking the part. Standing he presents a lovely picture and just what I was looking for, short and compact, right amount of neck and moved in that typical brisk kees manner. He has the right amount of leg for a very good balance. CC & BOB 2 Harris’ Ch Kichigai Boy Is Back In Town For Watchkees JW. Out of a smaller mould to 1 but still ok for size, another who was of the right balance for me. I also did like his head and expression which was so typical. He was not as good in neck and shoulder as 1 and on the move although in profile he moved really well he was just a little close coming towards me. He was shown in full coat and superbly presented. well deserved the Res CC. 3 Fitches’ NL Ch Samoykees Harbour Lights
VD (1) 1 Hickson’s Ch Kichigai’s Only The Lonley. I really liked this boy for his size and overall balance. He is full of quality. Short and compact, right amount of leg, firm in topline. He was in super body condition and if is obvious he likes his exercise. Sound coming and going and a real credit to his owners

PB (2) 1 Sharp-Bale Neradmik Pandora’s Box. For me a very exciting young lady and attending her first show, yes she was a little overawed as you would expect in an noisy hall but never dropped her tail at any point. She is of a lovely size and balance, short and compact, her front is well boned and straight. Lovely head and expression, nice small ears, right amount of neck and good shoulders. When she did decide to move she was sound and typical Kees movement. I loved her and will watch her career with great interest. 23 Fitches’ Sofia Loren Della Ginevrina (Imp) It Another exciting puppy, maybe a little overshadowed by my winner, but there is a lot to like about her. Again typical in head and eye, well marked, again good in neck and shoulder, firm topline and well carried tail. She is just a little longer in loin to 1 and this is where l split them. It will be interesting to watch these two very nice puppies.
PGB (1) 1 Redler & Wheatley Keitakees You Are My World There is a lot to like about this very feminine bitch and the more l looked the more l liked her. she is of a nice size. Good in neck and shoulder and this reflected in her movement, which was true both ways. Her overall balance is good, she was well ribbed and firm in loin, she was in good coat and colour and never stopped showing. Well handled too. Continued to like her in the challenge and she won the BCC, her second I was told. Sure to get her third.
LB (1) 1 Ring’s Neradmik Tantrums n Tiaras. Stood alone but well worthy of winning. Again very nice type, short and compact, would like a little more neck for a complete picture, very feminine throughout but with strength. Her head is nicely balanced and not too heavy, nice dark eye giving a true Kees expression. Very sound coming and going in true Kees manner. Her handler had her in pristine condition and l was pleased to give her the RCC.
OB (5,2) 1 Matthews & Lee Ch Winklestar Aurora at Valindale JW. This a very smart moving bitch, standing she shows herself off to best advantage. Scores in neck and shoulder, her topline is good. Very feminine in head with dark eyes and nice small ears which she uses the whole time. She is quite sound coming and going and in profile moves out but then tends to lengthen herself. 2 Hickson’s Ch Kichigai’s Uptown Girl JW. Slightly smaller in type to my winner but close up at the same time. Again scores in head and expression, her front is good standing, good in neck and expression, and firm in topline. shown in very good coat whi8ch was presented. Just couldn’t quite match the movement of my winner 3 Marshall’s Torrikees Made in Heaven at Devonia
VB (2,1) 1 Fitches’ NL Ch Samoykees Exclusive Moon (AI). A remarkable 8 years old and she looks half that age both standing and moving. She has a nice outline, shown in full coat which was so well presented. She is sound coming and going, never stopped showing a is a great credit to her owner.
