Thank you to the North of England Keeshond Club Committee for inviting me to judge their show. I found that there was a great variation in type and also a lack of bone which is not typical of the breed. All exhibits were well presented.

MPD 3(1) 1st Atkinson’s Winklestar Reggie nearly 9 months . Very nice smart puppy, good compact shape well balanced with good reach of neck and high set tail. Well set ears, dark eye would prefer more colour on muzzle. Good coat of nice colour and texture. Moved and showed very well especially being so young. Very promising. 2nd. Wilkin’s Whizzkees Quicksilver younger puppy of 7 months lovely expression dark muzzle with well defined spectacles well set ears dark saddle, nice reach if neck. Good size still quite immature.
PD 3(1) 1st Harris’ Kichigai Boy is Back in Town for Watchkees nice mature puppy of 11 months of good colour well defined spectacles, dark eye and well set ears and dark muzzle. Good reach of neck. Big coat with dark saddle would prefer higher tail set. Moved ok. 2nd Atkinson’s Vivids Majestic Prince of Winklestar (Imp USA) smaller boy with nice compact body of good colour. Smaller in head nice neat ears correct spectacles, dark eye, small cat like feet. Showed well and good movement would like a bit more of him.
JD Peck’s Kwajongen He’s a Dandy Byquy Nice upstanding boy with good length of leg, nice reach of leg, level top line, well set shoulders with a high set tail. Dark eye of correct shape, neat ears and alert expression. Good colour and correct texture of coat, nice spring of rib. Showed well moved ok, when he matures will be very promising.
YD 3(1) 1st. Rose’s Rossvale Endeavour to Esorkees Lovely and compact in shape and excellent colour, good reach of neck and well laid shoulders. Good spring of rib. Beautiful expression with dark eye of correct shape with nice spectacles, well defined stop and well set ears. High set tail, dark saddle, neat catlike feet, good bone. Showed and moved well. RCC. 2nd Craig’s Flatmeer Florisel Darker in colour, compact shape, dark eye and correct spectacles. Not in as good coat as one. Nice expression, good harsh coat, cat like feet. Showed and moved well.

LD 9(3) 1st Pattison’s Serenaubach Full of Wonder. Lovely upstanding boy of 19 months. Nice alert expression, dark eye, nice specs and well placed ears. Lovely reach of neck, well laid shoulders and good spring of rib. Good coat of harsh texture and correct colour. Dark saddle. High set tail with large plume. Nice feet Showed and moved well. Pleased to award him DCC. 2nd Barkley’s Neradmik Cary Grant for Watchkees (Imp Can) smaller dog and more compact, silver grey coat of correct texture. Nice head, dark eye good expression, good stop. High set tail. Difficult to assess movement as not moved fast enough. 3rd Fusco’s Amikirs Lord of the Bubbles nice size dog with alert expression, dark eye, correct spectacle placement. Body of dark colour with good definition. Good bone. Wasn’t really concentrating on the job of showing today.
OD 7(2) 1st Hickson’s Ch Kichigai Only the Lonely, very smart boy, lovely colour with dark saddle. Nice head and expression dark eye of almond shape well set neat ears. Good reach of neck set in well laid shoulders. Correct harsh coat, high set tail with nice plume across back, cat like feet. Well presented, moved and showed very well. 2nd Mile’s Ch Neradmik Kiss Chase with Lekkerbek. Larger boy of different type, nice head and dark eye well set ears nice alert expression. Nice reach of neck, good spring of rib, good bone and neat cat like feet. Not in such good coat as one. Moved and showed well. 3 Brunt’s Zandvoort Mr Bond very neat and compact dog. Nice head dark and nice shaped eye, would have preferred slightly smaller ears. Nice shaped body dark saddle nice set tail, cat like feet. I feel the coat wasn’t a clear enough colour as first two. Moved and showed well.
VD 6(2) 1st Peck, Matthews, Ransley’s Ch Wund-R Y Workin For A Livin At Szaryk (Imp) a smart dog of good size. Good alert expression nice dark eye well defined stop well placed ears. Good reach of neck in well laid shoulder and nice spring of rib and high set tail. Good bone nice cat feet. Good movement enjoying his day out showed well. Best Veteren in Show. 2nd Brunt’s Zandvoort Dream Stone 9yrs more compact and shorter in back. Nice head lovely ivy shaped ears, almond shaped dark eye nice spectacles. Harsh coat of correct texture of good colour and good reach of neck. Moved and showed well. 3rd Wilkins’s Whizzkees Onxy Sampson nice head dark eye nice expression smaller dog shirt in back. Darker in colour but still has definition and dark rich saddle. Moved and showed well.
Breeders D 3(2) 1st Brunt’s Zandvoort Purrsonal Life (AI) nice compact dog with nice reach of neck and high set tail. Dark eye with nice specs alert expression. Good coat of correct texture nice dark saddle cat feet. Showed and moved well.
Not Bred by Exhibitor 3(1) 1st Miles’ Rossvale Legacy for Lekkerbek. Nice looking boy good reach of neck well laid shoulders high set tail with nice plume held well over short back. Neat cat like feet and good bone . Lovely expression dark eye and neat well placed ears. Showed and moved well. 2nd Barkley’s Neradmik Cary Grant for Watchkees (Imp Can)
Good Citizen Dog 1st Marfleet’s Flatmeer Flaithri. Large boy with good bone and cat feet, good reach of neck, longer cast in body. Lovely colour and definition with harsh coat of correct texture. Nice expression, dark eye and nice dark muzzle, nice correct spectacles, well set tail moved and showed well.

MPB 1 1st Wilkin’s Whizzkees Silver Spark very pretty bitch of 7 months, lovely alert expression dark almond shaped eye and good ear set. Nice reach of neck short back nice tail. Good colour just coming through. Needs time to mature but promising.
PB 2 1st Hickson’s Kichigai’s Uptown Girl very pretty bitch of 11 months dark eye well set ears dark specs . Well laid shoulders and nice reach of neck short back and good set tail with nice plumage. Showed well but a bit unsettled and erratic on the move. 2nd Brunt’s Almaznyi Istochnik Kadril Zafornaya (Imp Russia). Smaller bitch, good proportions rounder in eye well set ears level top line with good lay of shoulder high set tail and cat like feet. Good movement. Would just like her to be a bit bigger.
JB 3 1st Sharp-Bale’s Neradmik Berry’s Swansong very pretty bitch with lovely alert expression dark eye, well placed ears. Good reach of neck short level top line well placed shoulder and high set tail. Good bone with nice cat like feet. Coat of correct texture and nice colour with good definition with lovely dark saddle. Showed and moved well. Pleased to award her the CC and BIS 2nd. Clark’s Kwajongen She’s a Muse very pretty feminine bitch with a lovely head, good dark correct shaped eyes, well set small ears nice spectacles. Nice lay of shoulders with good reach of neck and high tail set. Nice silver grey in colour with good definition and correct texture. Found her finer in bone than one and I would prefer more bone. Also appeared to be not at one with handler so movement not always as good. However, stood and showed beautifully. 3 rd McKean’s Kichigai It Takes Two another very pretty feminine bitch. Lovely expression with dark correct shape eye nice spectacles. Good reach of neck short back with high set tail with full plume over back. Good colour with correct definition. Showed and moved well. YB 1 1st Gregory’s Amikirs Doubly Delicious (AI) JW CJW19 larger bitch but of nice size, lovely rich colour with good definition. Nick head with dark eye and well defined stop and well placed ears. Good reach of neck with well set shoulder. Good spring of rib and good bone , high set tail cat like feet. Showed and moved well.

PGB 5(3) 1st Stephenson’s Kichigai Last Tango in Paris to Keezbern attractive little bitch, lovely expression, dark oval eye nice reach of neck and high set and well plumed tail, nice trousers. Good shaped cat like feet. Showed and moved well. 2nd Brunt’s Almaznyi Istochnik Vologadskie Kruzheva (Imp Russia) smaller bitch very compact dark eye nice expression. Wouldn’t stand still to show for long. Moved well. 3rd Wilkins’s Whizzkees Opal Suzie larger bitch with good length of leg. Lovely head and expression. Dark eye and correct shape, longer cast in back, high tail sadly lacking in coat at the moment. Moved ok.
LB 6(2) 1st Saunders’ Liefkees Adina attractive bitch with lovely head, nice dark almond shaped eye, dark specs and well defined stop, well placed small neat ears. Good reach of neck correct placed shoulder, nice spring of rib and high tail set and good plume of tail. Lovely correct off standing coat of good colour and texture moved and showed very well. RCC 2nd Kerr’s Caraspitz Good Luck Charm nice expression very alert, dark eye, good specs, longer in body nice reach of neck needs more plumage on tail nice colour and good definition. Showed non stop. 3rd Pattison’s Eastkees The Sunbird smaller bitch with pleasing head and dark eye. Nice reach of neck nice tail set good proportions good bone and nice shape feet. Moved ok.
OB 5(3) 1st Gates ‘ Ch Lacetrom Shuna ShCM lovely looking girl with pretty head nice dark eye, well placed ears but didn’t always use them to advantage. Lovely coat of correct colour and texture . Moved and presented well. 2nd Wilkins’s Whizzkees Ebony Sinders JW taller girl of good colour with nice dark saddle and definition nice eye and expression good reach of neck. Nice length of leg. Lacking in coat today . Moved ok.
VB 5(2) 1st Saunders’ Liefkees Annabell nice shape with good reach of neck and high tail set. Good reach of neck and good spring of rib, nice expression with dark eye. Good colour and texture of coat. Good movement. 2nd Stubbings Vandersee Wedding Belle nice pretty bitch with lovely expression nice dark eye well set ears black saddle nice tail set but small tail. Good movement. 3rd Marfleet Flatmeer nice expression dark eye good bone and small feet sadly lacking in coat. Moved ok.
Special Vintage Bitch 3(1) 1st Divers’ IR Ch Kichigai Rare Edition At Murmansk SHCM 10yr old bitch of lovely colour and good definition, short in back high tail set. Nice expression and dark eye. Moved well and enthusiastically. Would prefer a bit more length of leg . 2nd Gates Lacetrom Cruive ShCM VW 10 1/2 yr old bitch larger than one in good proportion lovely coat and ruff of harsh texture, good reach of neck well laid shoulder good bone and small feet. High set tail nice dark saddle well boned. Lovely head with alert expression. Moved and showed well.
