Judge and Chairman
My thanks to the Club for this appointment and to exhibitors for the entry, the friendliness, and the courtesy with which my placings were accepted. I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to go over so many lovely examples of this beautiful breed and I hope their owners felt that I did them justice.

Minor Puppy Dog (1.) 1. Sharp-Bale’s ROSSVALE DESTINED TO BE. Lovely enthusiastic youngster with compact body, level back, highset tail and good tight curl over back. Liked his balanced wedge-shaped head with strong jaws and correct bite.Clear cream shade to feet. Movement a little untidy today, but still a baby..

Puppy Dog ( 5,1 abs.) 1. Miles/Dean’s NERADMIK FAMILY AFFAIR WITH LEKKERBEK.Well developed with good spring of rib and depth to chest. Short compact outline, coat developing well with appropriate marks and shading. Correct bite, high-set tail with tight curl over the back. Brisk sound movement. BPD. 2. Harris’ NERADMIK ALL ABOUT THE BOY FOR WATCHKEES. Great showmanship and ring confidence, dark muzzle and well marked spectacles. Square in outline, but moving a shade narrow back and front today. 3. Atkinson’s WINKLESTAR HADAR

Junior Dog ( 1.) 1. Miles/Cullen/Brown’s ROSSVALE’S LEGACY FOR LEKKERBEK. Lovely showman with wedge shaped head well placed ears, strong jaws and correct bite.Good markings to coat, excellent ruff, compact cream well padded feet. Prefer slightly more rear angulation, but still Reserve Best Dog

Yearling Dog ( 1.) 1. McCormack’s GALLOWTREE GHILLIE. Only nine months old and still some growing to do. Today I found him rather lacking in coat, which emphasized the appearance of being slightly long in body and he was rather narrow right through.Mask and spectacles were good.

Postgraduate Dog ( 2.) 1. Eggleston’s BERT VON RICARA IMP DK. Really good markings to head and coat. Level topline, good tailset and carriage, nice compact cream feet. Strong jaws with correct bite, ears well placed and used. Felt the eyes were too rounded for perfection and just a little more neck would have improved the outline. 2. Palmer’s ROSSVALE CAPTAIN BUTLER AT SHELDERON. This one had really nice obliquely set almond eyes. Offstanding coat of correct texture, but harness not well marked. Showed willingly, but let down by front movement

Limit Dog ( 6 ) 1. Miles/Cullen’s NERADMIK GAME PLAN FOR LEKKERBEK. Alert, dark, almond eyes with clear expression. Good offstanding harsh textured coat with clear markings. Square outline, good bone, level back, excellent tailset & carriage. Showed and moved well. 2. Peck/Mathews/ Stewart’s KLOMPEN’S WHO’S YOUR DADDY (IMP CAN). Pressed the winner hard for showmanship, outline and movement. Lovely neck, well shaped head, good bite, muzzle not quite so dark. Excellent high-set tail and compact cream feet. 3. Stubbings’ VANDERSEE IRISH GUARD

Open Dog ( 3,1 abs.) 1. Brunt’s CH. ZANDVOORT DREAM MACHINE. Confident and alert, square, balanced outline and excellent harsh textured coat with good ruff, feathering and markings. Tail set high and tightly curled over level back. Dark almond eyes, muzzle and skull of equal length, correct bite. Moved briskly and true. Best Dog, Best Opposite Sex. 2. Watson’s POMMARY MAGIC TRICKS AT COLPATRON. Nice masculine skull and stop with dark, almond eyes and well marked spectacles, but did seem slightly short in muzzle. Larger and slightly longer in outline, somewhat too grey in the feet colouration and could not match the winner for movement today.

Special Vintage Dog (2 ) 1. Brunt’s AM. CH. LASERS TUXEDO JUNCTION OF ZANDVOORT (IMP. USA) Coming up to twelve years old but still a sprightly mover. Alert stance, square outline and good neck. Good dark almond eyes, not so good in harness markings. 2. Barbour’s BOREASVALE BOX CLEVER WITH CILLAKEES. Older and showing it despite a very willing spirit. Excellent coat markings, and a bit longer in outline.

Special Not Bred By Exhibitor Dog ( 2 ) 1. NERADMIK GAME PLAN FOR LEKKERBEK. As in Limit. 2 ROSSVALE CAPTAIN BUTLER AT SHELDERON As in Postgraduate.

Minor Puppy Bitch ( 3.) 1. Brown’s ROSSVALE HIDDEN DESTINY. Much to like, brisk straight movement, compact body good spring of rib, bone and substance. Nice balanced head with good markings, strong jaws and correct bite. Coat and markings developing well 2. Palmer’s SHELDERON SUMMER SPARKLE. Well laid shoulders, showed and moved well, though at this phase of its life a little bum-high. Good coat markings, dark almond eyes, body slightly longer in outline but good substance and bone. 3. Barbour;s CILLAKEES RUSSIAN SILVER

Puppy Bitch ( 1 ) 1. Gregory’s AMIKIRS BUBBLELICIOUS Compact balanced body with a good, well marked puppy coat. Good proportions to head, lively expression enhanced by appropriate facial markings, Correct bite, good bone and depth & breadth to chest. Hocks a bit smudgey, but hopefully that will clear with maturity. BPB & BPIS

Junior Bitch ( 1.) 1. Brunt’s BARGEWAY NEARLY AN ANGEL OF ZANDVOORT. Excellent temperament, compact outline with correct tailset and carriage. Good coat with ruff, feathering, markings, pale pants and cream compact feet. Feminine head with alert dark almond eyes, dark velvety well placed ears. Liked her arched neck.

Yearling Bitch ( 2 ) 1. BARGEWAY NEARLY AN ANGEL OF ZANDVOORT. As in Junior 2. Marfleet’s FLATMEER FLEURETTE. Longer in body, but good tailset and carriage and clean cream feet. Preferred the head, ears and movement of my winner

Postgraduate Bitch ( 6,3 abs.) 1. Gate’s LACETROM CRUIVIE. Moved and showed very well. Well proportioned feminine head with good mask, shading and spectacles, Correct bite. Compact body and in good coat, well marked.
2. Barbour’s RUSSKOE SEREBRO POSHTOTTY AT CILLAKEES. Good balance to length of muzzle and skull, correct bite. Less compact in outline, less pronounced facial markings. Also in good coat, correctly marked on the body, though as with the winner, rather smudgy feet. 3. Burdon/Pinkney’s BYQUY BECAUSE YOU KNOW

Limit Bitch ( 6.) 1. Watson’s POMMARY ELITE N KLASSIC AT COLPATRON.Superbly compact outline complemented by nice arched neck, excellent proportions to well marked head and good tailset and carriage. Keen showgirl, excellent mover and compact cream feet. Reserve Best Bitch & Reserve Best In Show. 2. Esland’s CHOTAHKEES TICKETY BOO AT VALINDALE. Also compact outline, excellent, well marked coat, level topline and high-set tail well carried. Showed and moved very well: compact feet a little smudgy 3 White’s NERADMIK SUNDAY LOVIN MORVANIA

Open Bitch ( 4,2 abs.) 1. Curry’s CH. NERADMIK STEPPIN UP THE GAME AT NORKEES. Alert and showy temperament, very soundly made, magnificent coat, beautiful head. You could tick off most of the desired breed points here, but she was more than merely the sum of her parts and it was a pleasure to see her parade around the ring. Best Bitch & Best In Show 2. McIntosh/Burdon’s WHIZZKEES ONYX SOLITAIRE OF SHELDERON. Good show temperament, well marked head with strong jaws and correct bite. Compact outline with good tailset & carriage, but for me perfection required a shade more leg length.

Veteran Bitch ( 1 ) 1. Atkinson’s ALLFORUS DICE WITH ME AT WINKLESTAR. Alert, well marked spectacles, though mask fading. Correct teeth & bite. Lovely well marked coat with good ruff and pants. Good tailset and compact feet. Keen showgirl and still moving soundly

Special Vintage Bitch 3,1 abs.) 1. Brown’s CH. ROSSVALE STRIKE A POSE. Good well balanced feminine head with excellent teeth and bite despite her fourteen years. Compact body, good spring of rib, depth of chest and outline completed with excellent tail-set and well curled tail. Moved better than many more than half her age. Impressive. Best Veteran In Show 2. Gate’s KWAJONGEN WHAT KATIE DID AT VALINDALE. Lovely head and expression, but not so good on the move and the tail had lost its tight curl.

Breeders Bitch ( 3,2 abs.) 1. SHELDERON SUMMER SPARKLE. As in Minor Puppy Bitch
