GOOD CITIZEN DOG SCHEME BITCH – NO ENTRIES
A pleasure to judge the Keeshond’s today. Very pleased with my winners and was delighted to hear that both my dog and bitch winners were receiving their 3rd CC’s. Thank you for your entries.
VETERAN DOG (3,1) 1st. Hickson’s CH. Kichigai’s only the lonely VW. Presenting a very balanced picture in profile with correct square proportions. Pleasingly balanced skull to muzzle, decent eye and clear spectacles. Correct ear shape and placement. Good neck. Excellent ribbing and strong loin. Pleasing to see correct angulation. Front movement was true, though a little close behind. Excellent quality coat. Despite being 10 years old he was in tip top
condition and thoroughly deserved Res. CC, Best Veteran. 2nd. Marshall’s ARABESQUE AT DEVONIA ShCEx. Standing he had a balanced outlook. On handling I found a decent neck and excellence throughout the middle. Particularly good in front. A balanced head, although eye was a little too round and stop rather deep. Ears rather large. Excellent high set tail.
JUNIOR DOG (1) Withheld. Rose’s AMIKIRS UNCLE FESTER. How disappointing for the owner, but this nice boy was off in an exciting world of his own which did not involve listening to Mum or having anything to do with ‘dog showing’. Please persevere, he is worth it.
LIMIT DOG (1) 1st. Comperat & Truelove’s BARGEWAY BOOMERANG JW. Rather short back in profile giving square outline. Good neck, excellent spring and depth of ribs. Good angulation with correct hocks and lovely straight front. Excels in head qualities with beautiful balance of skull to muzzle, lovely dark eye of good shape and set. This coupled with a good set and size of ear gave a great expression. Excellent coat.
OPEN DOG (5) 1st. Lindsay’s MEZANDA MYSTIC STARMAN. I really did like the size and outstanding balance of this dog. Front and rear angulation is spot on. Elbows tight to chest which was well sprung with good depth. Short and strong in loin. Decent length and set in of neck. Head has good spectacle markings with a dark and well shaped eye. Sufficient stop and equidistant muzzle and skull. The look completed by a high set and curled tail and a coat of excellent quality. All round quality Keeshond. DOG CC, BOB. 2nd. Ring’s CH. NERADMIK SHINE ON HARVEY MOON. A tad smaller than winner. Such a well balanced head and neat, well set ear. Front and rear angulation is good. Excellent spring of rib and good bone. In profile, was more square from point of shoulder rather than withers. Excellent coat and presentation.
VETERAN BITCH (3,1): 1st. Hill’s CH. WHIZZKEES EBONY SILVER FOR PLYMKEES JW ShCM VW. This full of life veteran really appealed. Had so many requisites. Pleasing head and expression, good neck length and set, sturdy through the middle, though perhaps a little rangier. Absolutely sound as a bell. Plus a full coat of excellent quality. 2nd. Lindsay’s CH. COSMIC DREAM’S DAMN YOU LOOK GOOD FOR MEZANDA (IMP NOR) JW.. Well balanced head with excellent dark, well shaped, eye. Square enough with a good spring of rib and short loin. Certainly sufficient bone. Not quite the excellent rear movement of the winner.
PUPPY BITCH (4): 1st.Passmore’s TORRIKEES YOU WEAR IT WELL. Such a lovely puppy class which took some time to place. I thought this young lady was stunning. She has such a well balanced head with a super expression only a correct eye and well set ears will give. Well defined spectacles. Really good spring of rib and well boned. Superb tail and set. Angulation correct and certainly not overdone. In profile is as the standard for balance. Quality full coat. She has sufficient length of neck and leg to allow for maturity into something rather special. BEST PUPPY. 2nd. Je Ring’s NERADMIK TINSELTOWN AT BALEISSA. And this lass pushing my winner all the way. A well balanced head with decent eye and ‘designer’ spectacles. Exceptionally good neat ear, well set and with that lovely ivy leaf shape. Of similar size to the winner she is equally good in bone and substance and I was particularly impressed with her cat feet and correct nails. She also has sufficient scope to mature beautifully. 3rd. Fitches’ SAMOYKEES IPPOLITAS KISSES.
JUNIOR BITCH (2,1): 1st.Tew’s BARGEWAY CRYSTAL CLEAR. Really smart youngster whose profile and balance was just what I was looking for. Prettiest expression with decent colour, shape and set of eye. Ear set and shape was spot on. Excellent neck length and set on with good front construction. Handles so well through the middle. Good bone and tight feet. Excellent quality coat. She does move rather close behind. Nevertheless, in the challenge she displayed so many good qualities, in particular, her superb balance I felt she thoroughly deserved her win. BITCH CC
POST GRAD BITCH (1): 1st. Tew’s BARGEWAY BREEZE ON BY. Nice size girl with a beautiful feminine head and expression. Excellent eye and ear. Excellent substance with good spring of rib and depth of chest. Excellent tail curl and set. Rather indecently dressed today!
OPEN BITCH (6,1): 1st. Marshall’s DEVONIA BLACK PEARL. Sometimes you judge a dog that has something that doesn’t appeal to you and yet they are such a good representative of the breed you cannot overlook them. This lass was just such a girl. I would prefer more width in skull, muzzle and stop were good, and markings correct. Construction was very good, tight elbows and correct angulation. Top line and proportions were spot on. Interestingly, she was well coated in the chest area which made her look a little heavy which was not the case at all. Excellent through the chest and ribbing, well boned and superb feet. She was one of the top moving dogs on the day. Well deserved RES. BITCH CC. 2nd. Lindsay’s WATERMYTH CASSIOPEIA BY MEZANDA. Rather like my winner her overall quality gained this placing. Has particularly good dark eye of correct shape and set. Skull and stop correct but I would prefer a little less length of muzzle. Ear set could be higher. Good neck length, well set into shoulder. Excellent through the middle and correct tail and set. Construction was sound and she moved well. In her underwear and I look forward to seeing her in full bloom. 3rd. Hill’s WHIZZKEES SILVER SPIRIT.
So delighted to learn that this was the 3rd CC for both my dog and bitch winners. Many congratulations.
LORRAINE BOLTON
