Although a small entry I was very happy with my winners. As a breed the Keeshond is a natural dog, the coat should not feel so full of grooming products that a judge has to wash their hands after going over a dog. Light eyes are evident within the breed again. Today coat colour was in the most, the beautiful silver and black, which makes the breed stand out.
VETERAN DOG OR BITCH – 1 1ST : MARSHALL’S TORRIKEES MADE IN HEAVEN AT DEVONIA VW 8-year-old bitch, good coat colour just on the turn, good head and eye neat set ears, starting to show her extra weight on the move. BV
PUPPY DOG – 1 1ST MILES, DEAN & CULLEN’S SKYLINE’S OUTLANDER AT LEKKERBEK (IMP USA)9 month old mature looking boy, well coated with good colour, well placed ears used well. level back with well set tail, straight front, well angulated in rear. Moved ok once settled, standing he appears to tuck rear under himself. BP
JUNIOR DOG – 1 1ST : GARDNER’S DEVONIA’S LOVE WIL FIND A WAY FOR MANZANAKEES 15 months old of good shape and colour, would like a better neck and more bone for a male. Straight front and good quarters need ears and almond eyes. nice feet. Moved ok when settled
POST GRADUATE DOG – 2 both these boys were unsettled on the move and not giving their best however 1st place settled more than 2nd. 1ST : AXFORD & SHERWOOD’S WATERMYTH JEWEL OF THE NEST 19 month old boy who was larger than 2nd but well made throughout, good coat colour and texture would prefer slightly less round eye and a fuller muzzle, moving close behind. 2ND : SAUNDERS’ LIEFKEES AMORE very unhappy today did not want to cooperate with his handler, made assessment hard. better bone than 1st would not hold tail up or use his ears movement was very difficult to asses.
LIMIT DOG – 3, 1AB 1ST : DOWNS’ LIEFKEES ASSISI JW larger cast boy nice to go over straight front well coated of good colour and texture, well muscled in rear well set tail nice head well set ears and dark eye moved out well 2ND : GARDNER’S KEITAKEES SMALL TOWN BOY WITH MANZANAKEES square dog but carrying extra weight which showed in his movement, longer fluffy coat but of decent colouration.
OPEN DOG – 4 1ST : RING’S NERADMIK SHINE ON HARVEY MOON really nice dog to go over, short bodied square dog, well set tail and good rear assembly, good ear set nice dark eye with good dentition. Moved well in class and challenge but let himself down in front in deciding BOB. DCC. 2ND : FEDELI’S CH ARAGORN ELESSAR EL’FIYSKIY BERILL Smaller boy who is so well put together all over. He has all required breed points and he moved so well on a loose lead I just wanted more of him RCC. 3RD : MARSHALL’S ARABESQUE AT DEVONIA (IMP RUS) 4TH : ZBINDEN-HERRMANN’S REVOLUTIONARY DREAM OF A SILVER WOLF VALZER DELLA GINEVRINA

JUNIOR BITCH – 3, 2AB 1ST : MARSHALL’S DEVONIA’S HAKUNA MATATA 15 Months just blowing her coat but it is of good colour. Dark eye, neat ears. Well made quarters with decent angulation would prefer better feet moved well.
LIMIT BITCH – 1AB
OPEN BITCH – 5, 2AB 1ST : BELLESOEUR & FEDELI’S CH OSTARA VITA DE LA LUMIERE D’HEMERA 4yr old who surprised me on the day so soundly made in all respects, straight front short back complimentary angles front and rear coat of good colour and texture, her head is so balanced, with dark eyes well set ears moderate neck, outstanding on the move in all directions she never stopped showing at one with her handler at all times. her other attributes were of such merit they outweighed her scissor work BCC BOB. 2ND : REDLER & WHEATLEY’S CH KEITAKEES YOU ARE MY WORLD One I have often admired from ringside. Nice head and expression dark eye well set ears, coat of good colour and texture. Well made front complimenting her rear assembly. Good bone neat feet well set tail moved well RCC 3RD : SAUNDERS’ LIEFKEES ADINA
